For the last session of YOLDEN @ Moral Home programme, the EXCO members, Volunteer Coordinators and Volunteer Befrienders will be bringing the seniors from Moral Home for the Aged Sick to the nearby hawker centre for an outing :)
If you wonder what we do at YOLDEN Programme, want to gain an insight into the lives of the seniors in the nursing home and engage them meaningfully through this half-day session, join us as a Volunteer Befriender for the Outing!
This is a youth-for-youth project supported by Youth Corps Singapore, and is organised by the YOLDEN @ Moral Home EXCO.
Volunteer Befriender
Volunteer Befrienders will join in the existing regular volunteers for the usual YOLDEN session in the morning where we will engage the seniors through physio-related activities. We will then bring the seniors to the nearby hawker centre for lunch together & bring them back to the nursing home.
There will be wheelchair handling training briefing in the morning before you meet the seniors. And you will be paired with an experienced Volunteer Befriender who has been part of the programme for the past 5 weeks - so don't worry if it's your first time! :)
Note: Volunteers are required to be FULLY VACCINATED and wear a mask at all times.
