There are a wide variety of scholarships to choose
from. Scholarships vary not only in the length of the
bond but also in who is offering them - not all
scholarships are government scholarships; there are
numerous other providers (universities, private
corporations, or even community organisations). In
fact, for many scholarships, there is provision to
experience a range of different postings within the
same organisation or even across different
organisations. Find out more about the different
scholarship providers here!

5 MYTHS ABOUT
SCHOLARSHIPS
It cannot be denied that scholarship providers are looking for
candidates with a decent set of grades, but this does NOT
mean that you need to be a straight A/90 rank points student!
What is equally important is your ability to demonstrate
growth and learning in your academic journey - if you can show
that you’ve made significant improvement in your academics
that would also interest and intrigue scholarship providers.
More importantly, you want to consider whether you are
interested in what the agency/firm does - if you’re simply
looking for a scholarship from anyone, this lack of alignment
between you and the agency/firm will come through. Be clear
about why you’re applying for that scholarship - this will help
you as you’re writing your application essay as well! Know your
unique value proposition and what you can value-add to the
organisation. Be aware that organisations also look for
evidence of leadership, and contributions and service to the
wider community.
