App serves it’a purpose

I believe the app provides a platform for citizens to feedback on issues they see so that the relevant parties can take action. So far it has been a breeze as I am able to report issues within my neighbourhood and my feedback will be redirected to the relevant authorities according. Usually my issues gets resolved within a week and I’m glad to have a platform that allows me to “contribute “ and improve facilities in my neighbourhood.

For motor vehicle users, this app also allows you to find for a parking lot, pay for street parking and even preview previous HDB parking sessions, which is pretty cool and I use that to keep track on my monthly spendings. Unfortunately, the HDB parking lot finder is not always accurate, and there are still missing some carparks. Also, the HDB parking history feature only stores up to 100 records, which may not be enough to store a month’s worth of record, but perhaps it is enough for most people.

Sure this app does have some bugs, I’ve used this app since years ago. But now it is pretty polished, and I would say that most of its features work well. I am not paid to write this and I am genuinely glad to have such an app for so much convenience. I only wish more people would use this app and feedback to improve their neighbourhood.

Poor workflow changed suddenly

Can’t submit images from library anymore, only can take shots from within the app. Three times this morning, can’t even drop the pin on the map too. Missed the 15 mins window you stipulated must report within with image. Restarted and restarted the app, deleted it, reinstalled but still don’t work. It’s a horrible app. How to report cases?
………………………….
Thank you for the explanation but unfortunately your logic is illogical. As a citizen, it us our responsibility to share with the authorities a situation we saw. We are not replacing or displacing the traffic assistants function. Particularly with this app being taking a long time to startup and not sure why need “profiling” and worst still need to re-log whenever you updated it or the app not used for a while. The camera activating icon is right at the smartphone Home Screen and Lock Screen, the workflow is logical versus starting up your app, going through all the trouble, to start the report before taking the picture. Isn’t reporters do the same too by taking the pictures - lots of them first, then go back to write the report? After all, you can still get all the metadata from the images pertaining to time and location where the image was taken.

Dear Michael, thank you for your suggestions. Rest assured that we are constantly refining the OneService App to improve user experience and will consider these for future enhancements. Thank you.

Recommendation

I received very prompt response within the day after submitting an issue that happened within my estate. There is great potential for this app as a proactive tool to notify residents in their estates regarding the ongoing or upcoming disruptions or maintenance work that may happen (such as disruption in water supply, fumigation works, closure of carpark/walkways etc) via push notifications. Since the app uses our Singpass to log in, I don't see technical difficulties in mapping our residence address. Please consider this on your product roadmap as the only way currently to get an update from the Town Council is by emailing or calling their office, which is a very reactive approach causing frustrations.

Developer Response ,

Dear Sarahyingg, we thank you for your feedback and suggestion. The 'Happenings' feature of the OneService App will alert users to renovations and lift faults that occur in their block. Regular works, such as block washing, by certain Town Councils are also viewable in the 'Happenings' feature as well. - OneService Team
