Do these bright orange flowers look familiar to you? Thatโ€™s right, these are the Malayan Ixora (Ixora congesta), a native species often found in our parks and gardens.

These beautiful flowers produce sweet tasting nectar, attracting ants and butterflies. Their fruits are purplish-black when ripe and are often eaten by birds.

Struggling to see things far away from you? Youโ€™re not alone!

Catsโ€™ eyes are so large that it makes focusing between near and far difficult. Despite these limitations, cats compensate with their amazing night vision and sense of hearing, making them incredible hunters.

Bats have many important roles in our ecosystem, from pest control to plant pollination and seed dispersal.

One example is the native Lesser Short-nosed Fruit Bat (Cynopterus brachyotis) which helps to pollinate many of our favourite fruits, including the Durian! ๐Ÿฆ‡

Bringing a splash of colour to your week! ๐ŸŒผ These clusters of yellow flowers belong to the Maiden's Jealousy (Tristellateia australasiae).

These free-flowering vines can be seen in rewilded areas, nature parks, streetscapes, and biodiversity-attracting gardens. Their blossoms are particularly appealing to bees and birds. Native to Singapore, they typically thrive in rainforests and inland areas of mangrove forests.
