What is the SkillsFuture Jobseeker Support scheme?
Losing your job can be stressful. The SkillsFuture Jobseeker Support scheme offers up to $6,000 over six months to eligible individuals who have lost their jobs and are actively job searching. Participants will receive guided support for relevant job search activities and earn points along the way. They can redeem payouts once they reach their monthly points targets.
Who is eligible
You must meet the following criteria:
- Singapore Citizen
- At least 21 years old as of year of application
- Past average monthly income of up to $5,000 in the past 12 months ⓘ
- Annual Value of your residential property in Singapore is $31,000 or less
You also need to meet one of the following:
- Lost your job due to involuntary reasons ⓘ
- Prior to losing your job, be employed and worked in Singapore for at least 6 months out of the past 12 months at the point of application ⓘ
OR
- Lost your job due to involuntary reasons ⓘ on or after 1 April 2024
- Apply for the scheme by 15 June 2025
What you’ll need
If you meet the eligibility criteria above, you can apply for the scheme. We require the following documents:
- Official letter or notification of termination/dismissal by former employer
- If termination was due to medical reason, please provide a Medical Certificate or Letter from Medical Institution/Doctor
- If you lost your job on or after 1 April 2024 and are still unemployed now, please provide a PDF copy of your CPF Transaction History for the past 15 months, filtered to only include Employment Contributions ⓘ
The processing time may take up to 10 days and you will be informed of the outcome via email.
How it works
Participate in various supported activities relevant to your job search and earn points. Hit the monthly points targets to redeem cash payouts.
Earn points, hit target, redeem cash payout for the month
If your past average monthly income is lower than the amount listed, you will receive your past average monthly income instead.
Month 1
Target: Earn 10 points
Cash payout of up to $1,500
Month 2
Target: Earn 10 points
Cash payout of up to $1,250
Month 3
Target: Earn 10 points
Cash payout of up to $1,000
Months 4 to 6
Target: Earn 5 points per month
Cash payouts of up to $750 per month
Total payout of up to $6,000 over 6 months
