Spring Sonata - Celebrating Polish Composers

@ Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage, Singapore Botanic Gardens
Immerse yourself in the captivating performances by renowned Polish duo - pianist Katarzyna Borek and flautist, Elżbieta Woleńska, as they showcase a repertoire of classical masterpieces by esteemed Polish composers: Fryderyk Chopin, Ignacy Paderewski, and Stanisław Moniuszko.
This concert, inspired by the iconic Chopin performances in Warsaw’s Royal Łazienki Park is a highlight of the PolandSHIOK festival, offering a delightful experience for music enthusiasts of all ages.

The Long and Oblique View

The artwork comprises a series of wall-oriented objects crafted from various materials, such as acrylic, foam, paper pulp, 3D printing, ceramic, electrical trunking and text-based works. Unfolding across the Esplanade Tunnel, the works are interwoven to construct a visual story.

Expect an enchanting selection of classical delights and picturesque scenes from the great operas, amidst the open-air greenery of the Singapore Botanic Gardens. Make it an unforgettably musical Mother’s Day for the moms in your life!
Don't miss the pre-show performance happening from 5.35pm by Symphony 924's Young Talent, Mapletree-TENG Scholar and Zhong Ruan musician, Li Zhixin will perform Camel Bells Along the Silk Road 丝路驼铃 by Ning Yong.

Instrument Petting Zoo

Get up close and personal with instruments like the violin, flute, trumpet, harp and various percussion instruments. Musicians will be on hand to provide an introduction and answer any questions you may have. Learn about how they’re played and get a chance to play them yourself!
