Milk & Diaper Support for Young Children (North East Growth Fund)

When Irdianti discovered that she was pregnant last year, she had to shelf her plans of returning to the workforce to alleviate the financial strains that the family is facing as her husband is the sole breadwinner supporting the entire family. The need to look after four children on her own is challenging, as she juggles between mother’s duties, managing the household chores and coaching her school-going children for their assignments. While the arrival of the fifth child brought a lot of joy, it also meant that Irdianti has more on hand to take care of.

At the same time, the concern of added expenses weighed on the minds of Irdianti and her husband. “My husband works as a technician and is the sole breadwinner. A lot is on him to provide for the family. Thankfully, we found out about the North East Growth Fund. The fund took care of our new-born’s most basic needs of milk and diapers, and I’m really grateful that it helps lessen my family burden,” shared Irdianti.

Now that she has eased into her added responsibilities, the young mum hopes to focus on ensuring her children’s healthy growth. “Their well-being is the most important. It is only when they are all well, that I can go back to work without as much worry.”
