What’s DigiCoach?

Curious about how your food choices and physical activity affect your glucose levels?

Join DigiCoach — a 12-week digital health coaching programme that will provide you with customised health advice based on insights gained from your glucose levels and lifestyle choices. It will guide you to form healthier habits and kickstart your journey to wellness.

How would DigiCoach benefit me?

• DigiCoach uses continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) sensors to provide you with a holistic view of your overall health.
  
  
• By participating in DigiCoach, you will receive up to 3 FreeStyle Libre CGM sensors over the 12-week programme.
  
  
• Gain insights into various aspects of your health behaviours such as the amount of physical activity, diet habits and glucose levels.
  
  
• Get access to a digital health coach that will guide you to achieve your personal health goals.

What can I expect from participating?

Eligibility

1. Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident aged 21 and above.
   
   
2. Either a BMI of 23 and above, and/or fasting glucose level of 6.1 - 6.9% within the last 6 months.
   
   
3. Using a smart phone with iOS 15.5 or Android 10 and above.*
   
   
4. Comfortable with both spoken and written English.
   
   
5. No history of skin allergies.
   
   
6. Individuals with diabetes or currently taking medication affecting glucose levels will not be eligible to participate in the DigiCoach programme.

Please note that registration of your interest in the programme does not guarantee participation in the programme.

Successful applicants will be notified via email to select their preferred onboarding session.

Withdrawal from the programme

You may withdraw from the programme at any time. To withdraw, you will need to: 

• Email HPB at hpb_mailbox@hpb.gov.sg, stating your intent to withdraw.

• If you were issued a Fitbit device by HPB for the purpose of this programme, you will be required to return the Fitbit device in its original working condition. A $20 administrative fee will be applied.

HPB reserves the right to withdraw participants if discrepancies are found during onboarding, such as inaccurate BMI or pre-diabetic status, or in cases of intentional fraud.

What happens next?

1. Selection of participants

A good mix of demographics based on age, ethnicity, and workplace setting will be taken into consideration when selecting participants for DigiCoach. 

2. Notification of successful participants 

If you are selected to participate in DigiCoach, HPB will contact you on your eligibility within 6 months, via the email address that you have provided during registration. Instructions for the onboarding process will also be provided during notification.

3. Onboarding of participants

You will need to provide your informed consent before receiving your first FreeStyle Libre CGM sensor and Fitbit device (if eligible) to participate in the programme.
