Logging in to your student ICON email

What to do when there is a Google Security Prompts when logging in to your ICON email accounts

If you are unable to load SLS

Work on your offline assignments and login to SLS later.

If students are still experiencing difficulties accessing SLS, refresh cache and try again.

Steps for Clearing Cache

(For Chrome Users)

  1. Click "Settings" and select "Clear browsing data" under the Privacy and security section.

  2. Ensure the checkboxes for "Browsing history", "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files" are selected. Click "Clear data".

(For Safari Users)

  1. Open the "Safari" dropdown menu and select "Preferences".

  2. Click the "Advanced" tab and select the checkbox beside "Show Develop menu in menu bar".

  3. Open the "Develop" dropdown menu and select "Empty Cache".

Instructions to ALL students

Step 1: Check the HBL weekly schedule for different subjects

Step 2: Check the daily assignments on your level pages and take your temperature

On your level pages, you will find assignments assigned by your subject teachers.

Your Home Based Learning (HBL) assignments can be in the form of

  • online learning activities which can be accessed via SLS / Google Classroom

  • written assignments which will have to be submitted to your subject teachers on your return to school

  • take your temperature and record it in the SLS assignment daily. The link can be found in the class instructions.

Please refer to your Navalite Compass for your Usernames and Passwords.

Step 3: Access SLS / google classroom for online assignments

Access Timings for Levels

  • Online assignments will be made available to all students from 7.30 am onwards for each day

  • Students are encouraged to exercise self-discipline to complete their daily assignments during the recommended access timings shown below.

  • Subject teachers will be monitoring the assignments for incomplete and/or late submissions

Students will need to login using their MOE-provisioned email address ending with the domain @students.edu.sg to access their Google Classrooms.

For enquiries on assignments, students should contact their subject teachers by clicking on the email icon (on the left) to access the list of email addresses for teachers or via class communication portals such as ClassDojo.

SLS Password Reset and Unlocking of Accounts

DURING SCHOOL OPERATING HOURS (exclude public holidays)

During school operating hours, students should contact the School-based Helpline for SLS queries including SLS access matters such as password reset and unlocking of accounts. Alternatively, do contact your Form and Co-Form teachers.

When emailing the SLS Helpdesk, they should include their full name, name of school and form class.

TroubleShooting


Problem (Image on the left): Error message appears occasionally when access volume is high


Solution: Click "Refresh" on the web browser and wait. If the problem continues, complete your written assignments and try to access SLS again at a later timing.
