Who we are

Tampines Secondary School was established in 1986 and is now in its 35th year. We are named after Tampines New Town as we were established to serve the Tampines community.

The school underwent PRIME (Programme for Rebuilding and IMproving Existing Schools) in 2008, and the school infrastructure was fitted with new spaces for our niche areas in visual and performing arts and creative engineering, supported by our Life Long Learning Programme and Applied Learning Programme respectively.

In 2016, recognising the need to build resilience and excellence to face challenges of the future, we adopted a fresh vision.

A caring community of Learners, Thinkers and Leaders

We are committed to provide a holistic education to all students in a safe and positive school environment where they fully develop their academic skills and co-curricular interests.

aCHIEVEMENTS

We are proud of our students who have worked hard and excelled in their respective talents.

curriculum HIGHLIGHTS

Our school curriculum is designed to nurture well-rounded Tampinesians. It develops their intellectual inquiry, builds their resilience to handle challenges, and cultivates values to care for one another. With a strong foundation built on our curriculum, students are motivated to develop their interests, pursue their passions, and fulfill their aspirations.

TALENT DEVELOPMENT

Our areas of excellence are Creative Expressions and Creative Engineering, delivered via our Lifelong Learning Programme and Applied Learning Programme respectively. These niche areas work in tandem with our curriculum to provide our Tampinesians, with opportunities to build their resilience to handle challenges and nurture their empathy for others.

STUDENT LEADERSHIP

In TPSS, every student is a potential leader, and there are many leadership opportunities for aspiring students to take up. We aim to develop all students to be Caring, Competent and Ethical Leaders of tomorrow.

our Tampinesian stories

Because it takes a village to raise a child, our TPSS parents and alumni are important members of our school community. They contribute to the school's culture and the holistic development of Tampinesians. Hear from them to understand who we are and what we stand for.

Co-curriculAR activities

CCAs play a key role in our students' holistic development. Our CCAs provide safe spaces for our students to explore their interests, discover their talents and learn from one another.
